Training

The Center for Psychological Services

offers psychology practicum, and postdoctoral fellowship training.

Practicum: A psychology practicum is a supervised training experience that provides students in psychology graduate programs with an opportunity to gain practical experience in their field of study. Students are closely supervised and learn through modeling, observations, and structured practice. We focus on practicum students interested in assessment and behavioral interventions.

Doctoral or LSSP Internship.  Psychology Internships allow students to work more independently. These learners report to supervisors, but they may perform duties without a supervisor’s presence. CFPS offers tracks for private practice clinical or hybrid school/clinical experience in assessment and behavioral intervention.

Postdoctoral Fellowship. A postdoctoral Fellow is a recent Ph.D. or Psy.D. recipient who wants further training or needs the experience to meet the requirements of licensure. CFPS offers training to prepare graduates to be clinicians, supervisors, and leaders. Postdocs are required to be Provisionally Licensed.

Other experiences: volunteer, pre-apprenticeship, undergraduate internships. When inquiring, please include your specific interests, background information, and requirements. A resume/vita of your previous experiences is suggested.

Training interests should be directed to our training director, Dr. Richardson
